My Vegan Supermarket

Marta Morillas

 I wasn’t born vegan.

I studied Business Administration, led a healthy and sporty lifestyle, moved to Malaysia, travelled around Asia, relocated to Montreal and ended up with a very well-paid job in Switzerland. I had a nice flat, stable partner,

great salary and everything I set out to achieve.

I was settled, but not satisfied. it was not the path for me. I realized there are more important things in life than comfort and I wanted to make an impact. I decided to quit my job, and it took me over 2 years to find my way.

Now, at 26, I am ready to start this new venture: Mutig. It is the first ever Vegan supermarket which includes Pepsico, Unilever, and many world known brands as well as famous local ones. It’s the place where vegans and nonvegans can feel comfortable and find great 100% plantbased products for a cheaper price.

It all started from the struggle of shopping. When you‘re a vegetarian you can just avoid meat and fish, which is still fairly easy, but when you go vegan, shopping becomes a huge hassle. You might pick up a few groceries from your local vegan shop, if you’re lucky enough to have one. Then, you must still go to the supermarket for the rest and you often find yourself doing a complete research on each product, reading all the ingredients for anything

you want to buy.

It was a complete waste of time and you may be tempted to quit. I believed it was not fair, we vegans are doing the right thing, and we deserve to have it easier.

In Mutig one can find a whole selection of Lay’s potato chips, wines, champagnes, pasta, famous rice brands, local sauces, local famous chocolates, all within the customer’s comfort zone. And one can also find the alternatives (Beyond Meat, Moving Mountains, Heura foods for tomorrow), and a whole portfolio of options, all tested and hand picked by me. I want to make sure my customers get the best vegan experience and have them come back with a smile.

Food waste is a global challenge and we aim to do better. Therefore, my second purpose is to never let food be thrown away. I‘ll make sure to post online before any product go’s bad and share it as a free giveaway for all the mutigshop

followers to come pick up.

I look forward to changing the system and do the best I can to make a better today for a better tomorrow. I’m really excited and thankful for the opportunity to partner up with Vegan Nation and their amazing platform for the vegan community.

Mutig — We’re passionate about food, life and good prices 😉
